ChocaMalty Maca Protein Smoothie
This smoothie has a delicate chocolate malt flavour. It’s packed with protein and nutrients, which provide long-lasting energy without disrupting your blood sugar balance.
An adaptogen and superfood, maca powder is used to support stamina and endurance, making this smoothie the perfect way to kickstart your morning or overcome that mid-morning slump.
400ml hemp milk or other unsweetened plant milk
1 tbsp cacao powder
2 teaspoons gelatinised maca powder
1½ scoops plain whey protein powder. For a vegan version, substitute with unflavoured plant protein powder.
Half a sliced banana, preferably frozen
1 – 2 Medjool dates (to taste), chopped
¼ teaspoon vanilla powder or vanilla paste
½ - 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder (optional)
- Put all the ingredients, starting with the plant milk, into your blender and process until smooth.
- Once ready, pour into a glass and if desired, sprinkle with some more cinnamon, cacao and/or coconut flour to dress your smoothie.
- Sip and enjoy!
