Enhance your yerba maté experience with Rio Health's gourd set in black. Crafted for aficionados seeking the authentic mate-drinking tradition, this set includes a sleek black gourd. The double stainless steel maté cup also includes BPA-free and straw-friendly lid, stainless steel Bombilla (straw) and cleaning brush.

Features:

Traditional Design: The gourd embodies the essence of South American culture, providing an authentic experience.

Double-walled technology keeps your hot drink hot! This insulation technology means hot drinks can retain their temperature for 3 hours.

Convenient Bombilla: The included bombilla allows for easy straining and sipping of yerba mate, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable drink every time. A “bombilla” is no ordinary metal straw! Translated to "metal pump" and designed to act as a pressurised extraction filter for your yerba maté tea, the bombilla filters the grain that can sometimes slip through holes in traditional filters so that only the liquid gets through. This makes it perfect for drinks such as yerba maté, loose leaf tea and even freshly ground coffee.

Benefits:

Authentic Experience: Immerse yourself in the rich tradition of yerba mate with this beautifully-crafted gourd set.

Practical: The easy-to-clean cup makes it a practical choice for everyday use and sipping on the go!

The gourd’s 340ml capacity gives you your daily dose of tea, coffee or any other favourite drink, whether enjoying hot or cold.

Stylish Addition: Add a touch of elegance to your mate-drinking routine with this exquisite gourd set in black, for a minimal yet elegant design.

The double-wall insulation technology means hot drinks can remain hot for 3 hours. The Bombilla (special straw) is designed to act as a pressurized extraction filter for your Yerba Maté Tea. The Bombilla filters the grain that can sometimes slip through holes in traditional filters; only the liquid gets through. It is perfect for Yerba Maté Tea, loose leaf tea and freshly ground coffee.

Fill a flask with hot water: The ideal temperature is between 70º and 80ºC.

Pour in the Yerba Maté and shake: Using your eye as a guide, fill the cup three quarters full with the tea, then cover it with your free hand, tip it upside down, and shake it.

Tilt, make a hollow and pour in the water: Now tilt the Maté cup so that the Yerba rests on one side, and slowly pour a little water into the space created. We restate that, in order to avoid burning the Yerba and reducing its flavour, the water shouldn’t be boiling! Let it rest for a moment before moving on.

Place the bombilla: The bombilla is the metal straw used to drink the infusion and it should be placed into the moist area of the Yerba where you poured the water.

Time to brew: Pour a little water each time and always in the same part of the Maté where the bombilla is placed to make it last as long as possible.

CAUTION when drinking: contents remain very hot for a long time due to double wall vacuum insulation.
