Pau d'arco extract (Tabebuia impetiginosa), also known as Lapacho, is a huge canopy tree native to the Brazilian rainforest. Nearly 100 species of Lapacho are known; Tabebuia impetiginosa produces the best quality bark for use in Rio Amazon tea.
Shredded Tabebuia impetiginosa bark
Teabags: Infuse1 teabag in freshly boiled water. Leave for a minimum of 5 minutes. Drink and enjoy.
Loose Tea: Put 2 heaped teaspoons of shredded bark into a saucepan with 2 cups of cold water. Bring to the boil and then simmer for 5-10 minutes. Strain and serve.
