Rio Health Stevia
£20.99
- Tincture of Stevia rebaudiana leaf aka Sweet Leaf
- Minimum Dry Herb Potency Ratio 1:3
- Dropper for easy dispensing
Stevia, also known as ‘sweet leaf’ has been used for centuries in South America. Stevia is also used in Ayurveda. This well-known natural zero-calorie sweetener is intensely sweet but does not cause insulin release. It can be used in hot drinks and recipes as well as for therapeutic use.
Rio Health Stevia Tincture is an ecologically wildcrafted 1:3 tincture of Stevia rebaudiana whole leaf provided with a calibrated dropper for easy dispensing and has no bitter aftertaste.
Each 1.5ml (30 drops) recommended daily dosage contains: Stevia alcohol water extract which is the equivalent of 500mg Stevia leaves.
Ingredients: Pure Cane Alcohol, Osmotic Water, Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) leaf from Peru.
Minimum Dry Herb Potency Ratio: 1:3
Contents: 30 ml
Alcohol content: 55 Vol.%
Food Supplement—Botanical Tincture
Suggested Adult (age 16+ years) Use: 15 drops, 2 times daily in 120ml (4 oz.) of water. We recommend starting with a lower dose of 1 drop and titrating up to the 15 drops unless otherwise advised by your practitioner. Maximum 60 drops per day. For use as sweetener, use 1-4 drops.
For children aged from 4 (size/weight to be considered), 3 times daily, give one drop per number of years of age.
The Rio Health range, new in 2020, is a range of 25 tinctures of mainly South American botanicals. Each is a 1:3 tincture using 55% alcohol, provided in glass bottles with calibrated dropper for easy dispensing. Most of the plants are grown in Peru where they are ecologically wildcrafted.
Unlike tablets and capsules which need to be broken down by the digestive system, tinctures absorb readily by the body. No excipients are needed so each tincture contains only water, alcohol and the botanical ingredient(s). Tinctures also readily permit easy titration (increasing of dose slowly upward), which is an important consideration for adults and children alike.
Note that Rio Health tinctures likely can be used at lower dose (number of drops) than some other brands, and are competitively priced.
