Liquorice, also known as Glycyrrhiza glabra, has been used for centuries in traditional herbal practice and is known in Chinese medicine as Gancao, meaning “sweet grass”. Liquorice root naturally contains active plant compounds including glycyrrhizin, glycyrrhetinic acid, flavonoids and glabridin.

How to Use
  • Adults 16+ years: Take 15 drops, 3 times daily in a small amount of water, unless otherwise advised by your practitioner.
  • Maximum: 60 drops per day.
  • Shake before use. A slight cloudiness does not affect the quality.
  • Suggested use is for short-term periods of 2–3 weeks at a time, unless otherwise advised by your practitioner.
  • Child use: For child dosage, consult your practitioner.
Cautions
  • Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
  • Do not use if taking warfarin.
  • Consult a healthcare professional before use if you have high blood pressure, kidney or liver disease, oedema, low potassium levels, are taking medication, corticosteroids, diuretics, blood pressure medication, or are due to have surgery.
  • Do not take alongside grapefruit juice.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose.
