Cilantro Plus is a formulation that contains the extracts of Cilantro (Coriandrum sativum) leaf with Chlorella (Chlorella vulgaris) and Seaweed (Chondracanthus chamissoi). Cilantro leaf is a well-known culinary plant used to flavour foods. Whilst the leaf of the Coriandrum sativum plant is known as Cilantro, the seed of this plant is known as coriander. Chlorella is a well-known single-celled green algae used in many ‘green powder’’ blends. Chondracanthus chamissoi is an edible red algae/seaweed commonly part of the diet of coastal people in Peru and consumed also in Chile, Korea, Japan and France.
Each 2 ml recommended daily dosage (40 drops) contains: 2 ml Cilantro Plus alcohol water extract which is the equivalent of 117mg Chlorella, 61.5mg Cilantro and 6.5mg Seaweed.
Ingredients: Mineral and spring water, Alcohol, Chlorella (Chlorella vulgaris) extract from Brazil, Cilantro (Coriandrum sativum) leaf extract from Brazil, Seaweed (Chondracanthus chamissoi) extract from Brazil.
Minimum Dry Herb Potency Ratio: Chlorella extract 1:8, Cilantro Leaf extract 1:6, Seaweed extract 1:88
Contents: 30 ml Alcohol content: 24 Vol.%
Suggested Adult (age 16+ years) Use: 40 drops every other day in 4-6 ounces (120-175ml) water 30 minutes before a meal or 90 minutes after a meal or at bedtime or as directed by your healthcare provider. If you experience gastric upset, take with plain crackers/biscuits or with a fruit snack.
For child dosage, consult your practitioner. Not suitable for pregnant or lactating women. Stop use if adverse reactions develop.
The Rio Health range, is a range of 25 tinctures of mainly South American botanicals. Most are 1:3 tinctures using 55% alcohol, provided in glass bottles with calibrated dropper for easy dispensing. Most of the plants are grown in Peru where they are ecologically wildcrafted.
Unlike tablets and capsules which need to be broken down by the digestive system, tinctures absorb readily by the body. No excipients are needed so each tincture contains only water, alcohol and the botanical ingredient(s). Tinctures also readily permit easy titration (increasing of dose slowly upward), which is an important consideration for adults and children alike.
Note that Rio Health tinctures likely can be used at lower dose (number of drops) than some other brands, and are competitively priced.
